Question
Is it possible to create a Redshift-managed VPC endpoint and connect HULFT Square to Amazon Redshift in our AWS environment via PrivateLink?
Answer
Since HULFT Square does not have a function to create a Redshift-managed VPC endpoint, it is not possible to create a PrivateLink connection with a Redshift-managed VPC endpoint.
HULFT Square assumes a connection to Amazon Redshift via a JDBC URL, and PrivateLink can be created by configuring the appropriate settings in HULFT Square and Amazon Redshift.
Configuration of HULFT Square
Create a connection for Amazon Redshift from DATA INTEGRATION > Connections.
The following three pieces of information are required.
- URL
The JDBC URL displayed on the Amazon Redshift console screen.
For PrivateLink connections, replace the Cluster Endpoint Name portion of the JDBC URL with the DNS Name of the VPC endpoint created with HULFT Square. - Username
- Password
Configuration of Amazon Redshift
Specify the cluster endpoint in the NLB target.
Please refer to the official AWS documentation on how to specify.
