Question
I am trying to create an Outbound Transfer Service for file transferring from HULFT Square.
When I tried to specify the destination VPC endpoint in the "Hostname" field, it said that the hostname violated the character limit that a hostname is up to 68 characters.
When I ran into the same limitation with the package version of HULFT, I was able to deal with it by setting an alias for the VPC endpoint, but how should I deal with it on HULFT Square?
Also, if I need to set up an alias like package version of HULFT, can I do the operation on HULFT Square as well?
Answer
"Hostname" specified when you create a Transfer Service is not the one of the receiving host, but the one of the sending host.
In other words, it is the HULFT Square's own host name.
Therefore, DNS name of the destination VPC endpoint is not set in this item.
The receiving host's hostname is specified in inbound HULFT Transfer Hosts.

Supplementary information
As described above, DNS name of the destination VPC endpoint is specified as the host name in the HULFT Transfer Hosts, but this may violate the character limit.
In that case, try one of the following methods.
・Specify a short name using a DNS server, etc.
・Specify the IP address directly.
Note : the latter method could affect the redundant configuration, as it makes requests to be issued to the specific connection only.
Please refer to the following page for details on HULFT Square redundant configuration.
