Why are the start and end dates for schedule jobs required fields?

Why are the Start and End dates in schedule jobs required fields?
Also, are there any development plans for change these fields to non-required, the following specifications for example?
- If the start date is left blank, the job will immediately run as its creation completed
- If the end date is left blank, the job will be in operation until it is deleted or turned off

Start and End dates in schedule jobs are required fields because the range of time periods that the jobs will operate must be clearly defined.
As of April 2023, there are no development plans to change this specification.
