Question
When I transfer a file from HULFT Square to HULFT for Windows, I get an error "STS=302 DSTS=208" on HULFT Square side and "735" on HULFT for Windows.
What does the error code mean and how can I deal with it?
Answer
As a premise, HULFT Square error codes are based on HULFT8 for Unix/Linux, and STS refers to status codes and DSTS refers to detail codes.
On HULFT Square, the status code "302" means that the file failed to be read.
The detail code "208" means that a read from the socket failed.
The status code "735" on HULFT for Windows indicates a timeout due to no communication condition during the communication.
The error seems to be occurred because HULFT for Windows disconnected after a period of no communication specified in System Environment Settings > Socket Read Timeout, and then HULFT Square attempted to read from the socket but was unable to do so, resulting in the error.
In general, the no communication state can be caused by the following events:
- The network is congested.
- Delays in sending/receiving data to/from the network due to poor processing performance on the sending or the receiving side.
- Abnormal communication on network devices including their OSs in the path.
As a workaround, the time until no communication is detected can be changed by adjusting the value of System Environment Settings > Socket Read Timeout in HULFT for Windows.
